Aluminum shot is a lightweight blasting media commonly used for paint stripping, coating removal, and surface cleaning where a softer, non-ferrous abrasive is required. It is an excellent solution for applications where the substrate cannot withstand aggressive etching or risk contamination from ferrous materials.

Because of its lower bulk density, aluminum shot is especially effective for cleaning and processing delicate or precision components that could be damaged by heavier blast media. It is widely used in industries such as aerospace, manufacturing, and specialty finishing, where maintaining part integrity is critical.

The media features an irregular particle shape with mostly rounded edges, allowing for effective cleaning while minimizing surface damage. Due to the natural particle formation, aluminum shot is typically available in two size classifications: medium and large.
