Corn Cob Blast Media is a lightweight, organic abrasive commonly used for cleaning, polishing, drying, and light surface preparation across a variety of industrial applications. Produced from the hard woody ring of the corn cob, this media is valued for being biodegradable, environmentally friendly, renewable, and reusable.
Because of its softer composition and lower hardness, corn cob media is ideal for applications where surfaces need to be cleaned or stripped without causing damage to the substrate. It is widely used in vibratory finishing, tumbling operations, and blasting systems where gentle processing is required.
Corn cob media is also highly absorbent, making it an excellent choice for drying wet parts and removing oils or contaminants during finishing operations.
